...The pool was great! The bumps on the bottom were perfect for pushing- gave me something to support myself against.  I loved having the fish on the side- so sweet and lovely- appropriate for birthing a baby!  It  was a wonderful birth- my first child born at home with all my family  present.  A little boy 3290gm (7lb4).  All going well.  Thank you for the wonderful start- I don't know how women birth without water! The shower in early labour was amazing- but I just couldn't wait to get in the pool once things really started- and it  was perfect. So thank you!

…It definitely gives you a lot more freedom and it gives a less clinical experience. It had great padding on the base which meant that my knees didn't start hurting and it meant I could labour in the position I chose.

 

…I definitely would recommend the pool to others, the kit catered for everything and it was great to have a list of things to i.e. an ice bucket, and it was very comfortable.

...for me the pool took the edge off the pain. I noticed that there was no perineal stinging. Private and safe. good to introduce my bubbly 2 year old to a new baby. Enabled a gentle home birth....

It was a positive wonderful experience. Next time I would call the midwife earlier and want my husband with me more during the active part. the the physical birth was wonderful - better than I have anticipated.

..we wanted a more peaceful non sterile environment. We believe birth is natural and isnt a surgical procedure... hubby was excited and over the moon to be able to catch our little girl when she was born. He even got a little teary...

It's the most natural process in the world, so why not I the most natural place you can ... Beautiful environment, calm,and can have lots of friends and family involved.I love my pool as it feels so relaxing, Pushing while in water and creates a sacred circle for me and my baby while in a vulnerable place. Roomy to allow space for more than one person. I felt more comfortable being able to control my surroundings. Swimming all thru pregnancy helped me to understand/anticipate 'how' to use the water as relief - i.e. used the water to carry my weight so that I could concentrate all my strength on labouring

 

It was great to have a sense of freedom of movement and the warmth of the water..

 

The birthing pool was great, very confortable I felt good in any position knees didnt get sore. Intact perineum! Gentle birth for baby.. 

 

The pool is an awesome experience and helped relieve all my back pain. I loved the whole experience would def do it again in a pool...
